In yet another telemarketing scam the makers if the Pounds Off Patch and Carbs Off Patch were not only busted for calling numbers on the “National Do Not Call Registry” (I signed up twice and still get calls every day), but they also made false claims about their weight loss patch, and in their advertising they said they were giving away free samples but they ended up charging people for them.

I don’t like it when people get ripped off but seriously who in their right mind would even entertain the idea of a product that claims cause substantial weight loss: in all users; when applied to skin; and by blocking the absorption of carbohydrates. Come on! Substantial weight loss In all users, this has scam written all over it.

The defendants Conversion Marketing, Inc. and Adam Tyler MacDonald ended up paying $463,000 in consumer redress and $11,000 in civil penalties
